“One Must Acknowledge the Contribution that The Kebab Has Made to this Nation.”
- Queen Elizabeth II
1926-2022
Queen Elizabeth II.
It is with great sadness that Ghost x Kitchens acknowledges Her Majesty the Queen's passing. For 70 years, she stewarded us through our darkest and brightest days and shared our love of culture in food, sports and the culture of her people.
As a nation, we love food and the different kind of cuisines that have been welcomed onto our shores. From the commonwealth and beyond, the different flavours dishes that we have
access to is unparalleled.
Her Majesty’s Favourite Takeout
From the tap of the screen, to the knock at the door, we have access to amazing food dishes such as pizza, pasta, curries, Chinese, Thai and Japanese, and none more so than Her Majesty.
The Queen was once famously dared by her grandson Prince Harry to eat a donor kebab. From Sandringham House where the royal family had gathered, after a few glasses of wine, Harry dared his beloved grandmother to eat the nations favourite dish to which she was more than happy to try.
A Nation of Cuisines
From a dark kitchen perspective, Ghost x Kitchens takes great comfort in knowing that no matter a person’s station or status, everyone has to eat, and delivery platforms such as Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat allow eating different food accessible to everyone.
As the nation mourns the loss of their ma’am, we also look forward to welcoming and being able to witness the change of power to our future King.
Who is also partial to a chicken masala….
